Our Mission, Vision and Goals
- Mission: To preserve Landfall Cottage, protect the natural environment and conserve the cultural heritage for the benefit of the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Vision: Be a centre for life-long learning for people and organizations to practice the arts and humanities.
- Long Term Goals: To achieve long term sustainability for the Trust through fund development and appropriate activities consistent with the cultural, heritage and educational objectives of the Trust.
- To secure and protect the cottage and surrounding environment in its present state while enhancing the livability and functionality of the cottage to facilitate its
use in pursuit of cultural and heritage activities.
- To develop and implement a program of cultural, heritage and educational activities of benefit to the surrounding community and the province such as artist and writer-in-residence programs. The term “artist” includes Canadian and international artists and is to be given broad interpretation to include visual and performing arts such as painting, photography, theatre, music and literature.
- To achieve long term sustainability for the Trust through fund development and appropriate commercial activity consistent with the cultural, heritage and educational objectives of the Trust, including among other activities, operating the Landfall Press, sourcing grants, holding special events, meeting with major donors and program co-sponsors.
- To secure and protect the cottage and surrounding environment in its present state while enhancing the livability and functionality of the cottage to facilitate its
use in pursuit of cultural and heritage activities.
